Making Cents International's Youth Inclusive Financial Services Linkage program (YFS-Link) is strengthening and expanding the nascent practice of youth-inclusive financial services through the development and implementation of a global capacity building and knowledge management initiative. YFS-Link creates opportunities for financial services providers and youth-serving organizations to gain the knowledge, skills and tools to be able to design and deliver financial services directly or to link the youth they serve with financial services. Responsibilities
Making Cents is looking for the right candidate to join our team to help coordinate and manage activities related to the YFS-Link program. The position requires someone with a strong attention to detail, good inter-personal skills, and an ability to manage multiple tasks at once. S/he has proven track record in program coordination and project management. The ideal candidate has a background in monitoring and evaluation, managing online platforms, interest in or experience with training and curriculum development. Sector experience would be in youth and financial services, microfinance, youth programming and includes management of other development programs. He/she enjoys working with a team and can initiate and coordinate numerous activities with a minimum amount of supervision. An interest in working in an entrepreneurial, small business environment is also important.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manages content development for the YFS-Link online platform, including soliciting input from stakeholders and developing original material.
Manages the monitoring and evaluation process by setting up systems for data management and analysis, overseeing data collection, analyzing results, and preparing reports with respect to training and program activities.
Maintain trainer certification system and serve as primary point of contact for trainers in network and consults with YFS team members on appropriate responses.
Manages logistics, communications, and preparations for trainings.
Manages logistics of the YFS portion of the Global Youth Enterprise Conference.
Maintains and manages financial records including financial reporting to donor.
Manages YFS-Link consultant hiring process (contracts, logistics, finances, etc.).
Qualifications
Master's Degree or equivalent.
2-3 years of experience working on international development programs, preferably in the area of youth-inclusive financial services and/or microfinance and/or youth programming.
Experience in managing communication portals.
Exposure to managing monitoring and evaluation systems for development programs, ideally for training programs.
Knowledge of and understanding of curriculum development and/or training delivery desirable.
Experience with event and/or program management.
Valid US work permit.
