A WAM happy hour during SEEP week has become an annual tradition, and this year was no exception. Along with hors d'oeuvres graciously provided by SEEP, guests at the November 2 reception were treated to short remarks by WAM president Michele Costello who explained WAM's mission and history, and introduced Astrid Cardona from Friendship Bridge (Guatemala), this year's recipient of the WAM scholarship to the SEEP Conference. Since 2010, WAM scholarships have made it possible for 11 women to attend trainings and networking events ranging from the SEEP Annual Conference, to Boulder-at-Turin, to AMIDA in Indonesia, to SMDP-Ghana, and the Women's World Banking Annual Capital Markets Conference.
