I am looking forward to another exciting year at WAM! First, let me welcome our new board members:

Next, we will begin hosting periodic global conference calls based on the suggestion of members. The goal is to update our chapters and friends of WAM on global initiatives and highlight best practices at our chapters. Participants can also ask questions or raise suggestions. Our first global conference call will be a webinar on February 16th at 9:00 EST (New York), 14:00 GMT (London), 19:30 IST (Mumbai). WAM International is also piloting webinar support for our chapters in the first quarter of 2012. The aim is to provide a platform for enhanced communication among chapters and a forum for subject matter experts to share valuable information with our members. The technology can be used to host a chapter meeting, create a virtual guest speaker event, or record a WAM member's presentation on a microfinance topic for distribution to members. I hope the webinar tool will increase communication and highlight the knowledge of our fantastic women. Please contact your chapter leaders if you are interested in hosting a session before March 31st.
